Alliance Package Added

Alliance Package Added

Back in the day we added Zoryana's quests to guide new players into an alliance. We have now added some motivation for alliance leaders to take newbies into their alliances.

We added a special daily Alliance Package - a gift that the alliance leader can receive on a daily basis -depending on how many members the alliance has and how old they are.

Here are the key facts about it:

  • Alliance leader can receive it as often as once per 20 hours.
  • Alliance leader can either consume the package himself or pass it to any member of his alliance.
  • Recruitment of any player into the alliance drops the package wait counter back to 20 hours.
  • Package expires after 20 hours if not consumed or given.
  • There are 10 different package levels with different value.
  • The total value of items inside the package is calculated on members worth. You can see members worth contribution to the package in the members list.
  • New heroes' worth is significantly more. A young hero can contribute 10x-30x more worth into the package than a seasoned player. The contribution decreases with the hero's age.
  • Key info about the alliance package is displayed on Alliance Tab
Find Candidates Tab

Alliance leaders and recruiters now have a special tab which shows all young heroes who have their alliance building built but have not yet joined an alliance. They are sorted by their potential worth to the alliance. This should help find young players to join your alliance.

Hopefully, this will motivate seasoned players to take a step toward the newbies - to help them integrate into the game and its community. Let us know what you think about it.

New stuff, need to be tested.

Something is wrong here. Heroes created today and yesterday is impossible to have mission ready to join alliances, I don't even know if they can be invited in the first place.

I personally don't think this is bad, it allows finding very new players and helping them getting mission built quicker IMHO :)

We will fix it for now, and if young players will turn out to be so popular so there won't be enough of them, we will add those without alliance building back into the list :)

I never said that it is bad. Just pointing out that the output doesn't fit the description :)

And yes, maybe it is good for an alliance to be able to see the possible candidates out there and offer help from the start. It will help more people to play enough and start to enjoy the game as we do.

I think the value of new players (those that are a few hours old) is useless since they don't have a mission. Maybe give them a valuation once there is a mission in their domains?  I'm not sure how long that initial value stays but if it is constantly declining it's seems premature if they can't be invited anyway.  :-)

Today's update makes contribution only from active players (those who are green). Also it adds some clarifications like how much do you need until next package level. I know some alliances are already using this feature, so I would like them to post their experience.

How do you claim the packages you accumulated? Claim button is grey.

The message says "add more players to gain package 3" implying we have packages 1 and 2 but the claim button never turned green.

You are getting only one package per day. If you qualified for package level 3, you are getting one package but level 3, not packages 1, 2, and 3.

I think this is an excellent idea - it does really encourage Alliances (like ours) to take on new players to help and support them before they get wiped out by those chasing the War Victory. We also check out their location and advice then whether they are in precarious location so they can start a new hero (and several if necessary) until they find a good location - Thanks Devs - this is brilliant :)

Can I have some clarification on the packages please. We added  players within the time period to get the level 1 package. We then got the timer that said we had so  much time to add players for level 2, we never got package 1. The timer will run out soon for package 2. Will it go back to level 1 and we have to start over or will we lose the chance at getting level 2?

I assume this is what happening as stated in the news post:

Recruitment of any player into the alliance drops the package wait counter back to 20 hours.

so every 20 hours you can claim a package, the package level is based on members worth, if you add a new member during package countdown, then timer starts over again, so you would then have to wait 20 hours again.

I think it would be nice if deputies could also claim the package instead of just the leader
