Well, if my grammar mistakes are adding a personal touch, I think we will let it be. I know many game developers make only official announcements which indeed look like produced by robots. Also the news are posted quite often, so it might be pretty tiresome to fix them all the time.

I quite agree with not losing the personal touch. But rereading the news is not boring!

Thanks mate... though to be fair, many people have had such a positive input. I really can't take the credit for work everyone's done and contributed to.

Berserker, I don't think the 'news' needs to be proofread all the time, as it's... news. Information you want to pass on. If there's anything major I'm sure someone will say something. Leave that aspect of the site personal, as that's part of what keeps people here. The FAQ is different, as it will be a long standing document for people to reference.

Wow! You guys did great! I'm American and your grammar is much better then mine. Of course I live in a small mountain town in Colorado. lol. I understood the original just fine. That is awesome that so many gathered together to help. Looks like a great group to play with from all over the world. How wonderful is that?

But what if someone has both time and money? Will he or she be much stronger than me?That really does not matter that much. The multiplayer nature of the game means that anyone can confront anyone else. Even if someone is very strong, they still cannot oppose crowd of players united against him....they still cannot oppose a crowd of players united against him.

No, it's polity, we had this discussed here: http://www.totemtribe.com/talk/help-us-proofread-the-website-here/4/#post_6841

I don't think much proofreading is needed here in the forums (with the exception of the FAQ's) - interpreting meaning from incomplete data is all part of the fun of communication!
Seriously, most people within the forums are looking to understand meaning, not nit-picking about how it's said. If someone truly doesn't understand, they can ask and ask again. If they want to nit-pick, they can go teach high-school English.
As stated above, the FAQ's are the exception, because they are essentially an extension of the game, and should be as clear as possible.
Is there a place I can send my edit of the entire FAQ section? There are many, many changes I would suggest for clarity. It would take me a day or two, but I can copy, paste and send you a new version if you'd like.
Where serious future proof-reading will be needed is in the verbal portions of the game itself. TT and TTG had lots of unclear and incorrect grammar in the narrative, but I always took that as part of the character of the game, with the understanding that the story was a translation from a non-English language. I follow lots of non-English entertainment (making due with subtitles) from many countries, and am used to interpreting meaning instead of demanding perfection.
However, being a somewhat nit-picky grammarian when called upon to be so, I would be happy to proofread final drafts of text within the game, should you so desire.

Yes, I agree that the actual game will require a lot of work in the proofreading department. If you feel FAQ needs some changes, you can just copy the text from it's page and edit in your favorite text editor, marking changed parts in the bold text so it will be easier to distinguish where changes needs to be applied. If the changes are too big to post here, you can upload edited document to some file-sharing service like Droplr or Dropbox and post link here. However if the FAQ is ok and nothing critical I would like you to save your effort for the actual game :) We have like 400 000 characters of text at this moment in this game and it will grow as we update the game so there will be enough text to proofread for all volunteers and then some more :)

Okay, I'll save my effort for later.
The FAQ has many small things, but nothing critical. As with the rest of the forum, further questions will clarify what people don't understand.
Looking forward to working with you!
