Rage - this new feature was added to the game in the recent update. Rage indicates how aggressive a particular player has been recently toward other players. So what does this mean exactly? It means that when some player does destructive damage to another player, his rage meter goes up and this is visible to everyone else looking at the player's towns. This can serve as a warning to other players to beware - or actually an introduction to attack, because attacking an enraged player earns you Colorado Stripes! Those stripes are essential for the War Victory. The more enraged a target player is, the more stripes you can earn! This does not cancel the fact that you can also earn stripes from players of a higher age than you. That being said, attacking a highly enraged player which is also at an age above you will allow you to earn the maximum amount of stripes! The Onslaught which targets enraged or higher-age players has changed to Heroes Onslaught and has a different icon for simplified identification.

How long will this rage-thing be hanging above your towns? There must be a certain "cool down" after some time? Or is just going to add up as long as you play?

Do you still have to make it home alive to collect the stripe?

Yes, there will be cooldown, similar to smoke over towns. The regular rules for stripes apply, this updates only adds new rules for getting them.

Again this does not make any sense. I really do not understand why you want war victory to be impossible. It has not even been proven that it can be obtained by anyone, yet you just keep making it harder and harder.

How do I make it harder by adding more possibilities to get stripes and not removing existing ones?

so the biggest aggressor can't get stripes, unless he/she stays in a lower age, even though the biggest aggressor is probably the one who wants WAR victory the most, which is now even more impossible!

Guys, as Bers is saying, they have not changed ANYTHING except adding a new way of getting stripes. You are overreacting even before having any chance to try how this works. Correct be if i'm wrong, devs, but, if i understand this correctly, this new "variable" only can add some more stripes to those you won before. I don't see how this measure makes winning more difficult.

So, to resume - even if Tsunami and Tuey explain it very well :-) . - I am a despot player, rushing thru ages in order to get better units and rise big army and siege units. No chance to stay in low ages to attack higher era players with maces/clubs in order to get some stripes ( is uselless and it was already discussed) By starting attacks, my "rage" will increase and everybody will want to attack me, right? 2 or 3 potential types of attackers: : -The despots players : they know very well that a big attacker has also a big army to defend and a strong alliance as back up for reinforcements. So, they will want to come in a suicide mission? ...Admitting tho that some will do this, be sure that the guy who got the stripes will be the first ones attacked back - yes , human nature is awful, I know :-) -The collective players: they wont attack me as they are not interested by stripes -The only benefit i can see is for some despots players , not advancing very fast. They will make some joints attacks, with the strongest players in the alliance ( which is doable after some months of playing) They will get some stripes for sure, but those players, as they are very slow, they wont have the needed time in order to fill up the Trophy Hall, admiting that they are interested to built it. So, like Tsunami said, the only ones interested by the War Victory are the attackers. They will want to test it !!! Let them build the Trophy Hall without any requirement. Let them fill it with trophies BUT put those stripes only for the last level, the ultimate trophy ( similar to the last manuel for the Wonder of the World) And you will see that the end of each alpha will be full of fights between despots players, trying to get those stripes and achieve that WAR Victory.

What actually has to change is the ability to bring stripes home whether or not you die

Clearly, this is to incentivize Despotism vs Despotism combat, an issue which Berserker highlighted in the previous Alpha Stage. According to previous Berserker posts, Despots were attacking only Collect players, and he wants more Despot vs Despot combat. The only solutions to this problem is to make Despots into a bigger target, or Collects into a smaller target. Rage is attempt at the former solution.

I have to agree with Tuey, Tsunami, Arya and Mina here. Surviving an attack is a numbers game. If someone wants to hit the largest aggressors, they have to have the unit numbers to exceed those of the target (who also likely has towers and ships, etc). If they don't have the numbers then they die. And, of course, can't take home their stripes, after which they will be demolished in retaliation. I don't see this working all that well to be honest.

As for hitting collective players, it's a fallacy that they are weak and defenseless. They not only have a huge defensive bonus, they have alliances that can help them, in most cases. Contrary to popular belief, they are hard to take down. They just don't choose to use defense correctly and rarely attack. They can attack though, if they have sufficient armies to do so. And, can do damage. However, what do they care about stripes? lol This really doesn't appear to be of much benefit overall, but I guess we will see. :-)

Biggest agressor can attack other big agressors to get stripes.

Nice mutual admiration society we have on forum among specific group of players :) Only anonymouses here are trying to be constructive and understood what this update all about. The others didn't even tried to understand the update and jumped to venting off their frustration right away.

In the end of last alpha it was clear that hitting other big attackers is not that big of an issue as you say and the alliance to "back up" can be handled too. Sure, if you want to continue pretending all despots are friends towards each other, it's your choice. But when you will get bored with this hypocrisy - the War Victory will be waiting for you :)

Surviving an attack is a numbers game. If someone wants to hit the largest aggressors,
You don't have to hit LARGEST ones. You have to hit those who are enraged and they not necessary are largest. They are the ones who did significant destructive damage to someone else recently.

Nothing has changed other than the warrior becoming a juicy target for other warriors. Bers is trying to find ways to make us all fight and give collects breathing room since he thinks they are only attacked out of ease lol.
