If we will decide to start making Totem Tribe 2, what it should look like? What's best in Totem Tribe and what you want to see different in order to make it truly mesmerizing and epic?
Post all your crazy and not so crazy ideas in the comments to this news.

We released extension to Totem Tribe 1 called Totem Tribe Gold and it took us a year to make :) Good extensions worth selling might take quite some time, retaining us from focusing on main goal. Anyway, this news post is not about money but about ideas to the possible TT2 :)

I have an idea, Akuru could go to an island with land bound dragons gaurding chests, kind of like with the Yeti and the Skelatons. Instead of bones they drop eggs needed to open the chests they are guarding. I loved your dragons and always was hoping to fight them on the ground as well as in the air!!
Also how about instead of having to destoy enemy camps there was some way to take them over, or at least to get something more then a key object out of them. I hated battling the wolf tribe and needing to destroy the barracks only to build my own on that spot. couldn't it become mine after the enemy was dead?? I wouldn't want to take over an evil mushroom camp but would really like to be able to use an enemy barracks maybe after searching them a few times like in pyramids.
I think it would have been fun also if some of the demands made by locals sent you off to another island to "prove yourself worthy" for some task or another... Maybe to retrieve the winged boots so then you could accomplish whatever needs doing on their island... Like tame a winged pegusas so you can travel to the clouds to gain a magic talismen which can only be done if you have winged boots.
How about an island where all of the plants are hostile but mustn't be killed as they are really enchanted villagers. akuru would then need to find the cure maybe by going back to a previous place to retrieve it.
I can't wait to read other ideas posted here. I am so excited by the prospect of a true TT2!!!

I really hope you decided that it's worth making a TT2 although you didn't exactly obtained a brainstorm here.
I hope, from time to time, to give us some glimpses of what you are doing:)

I played through TTG again just to get a fresh perspective on game play. the only thing that really drives me crazy is that I can't reasearch and build at the same time as I stated earlier, also it bothers me that when akuru has something to say at times you can't hurry her up by clicking.
If this was my wish list on features the things I would really like to see:
On the map page I would like to see time spent. I also agree with an earlier sentiment about being able to swim when only one person is on an island and you have the aqua lung.
I would also like to know not only how many gems are left but how many there are to find on a particular island. I wish some of the puzzles were different when you go back and play again. So instead of the singing rocks on witch island always needing to be touched in the same order it changed to a new order if I play again or as a different person I realize that to make it to random would be a nuisance but maybe just a couple of variations. .
I wish a tower could be upgraded with guards no matter what kind of tower it is. Maybe after you get and build a marketplace or training ground then you could have guards at your arrow tower, or your fire tower etc.
Also I loved the trees to climb or knock over in TTG so would love to see more of that kind of thing.
I hope there is a true TT2 in the works, please please please.... New islands to search, new items to find or even the same, new or old foes to fight (i would miss the mushroom guys if there aren't any) It would be a dream come true since I can say this is the best game I have ever and will ever play.

I agree with undrgrndgirl about using the images in the pools on Guardian Moon as a starting point. Why not move the story along a few centuries? - Descendants of the original tribes. The only level that I did not enjoy was the pyramid - I found it too long with not enough to keep me personally interested. The levels I like the most were those which challenged me to stay on my toes in protecting my tribe.

The only thing that I want: no more pixalated pictures in the new game. Ok?
Thanks

Having played TT & TTG (twice), may I suggest that the concept of both games is outstanding and should not be changed! That said, why not simply change the locale and time frame to a more modern one? Say jungles of some African nations where warfare would have to be avoided or natives have to be placated. From there you could go to one of the colder spots on the globe, etc. In oter words, put it in a modern timeframe, but stil fictionalize it. Certainly there are locations in South America with native indians that would meet all your requirements and then you could slip off the edge of the continent to the Antartic! Do keep the items mentioned by other commentators. Gem counter is awesome. Also, repeated trips to a locale make it so much more interesting. Finally, perhaps a friend could turn against you when least expected! Good Luck with it!!

I played through a couple of more times and am doing it again and would like a way to see stats while at an island. Like how many troops I have in general with the ability to see how many of each type. On Islands where I build a lot it would be nice to know. I like to try to keep a good number of witch doctors to other totals so they can heal more people. Also sometimes I wish for a way to go to a damaged building without having to make sure I watch out for it on my own although then you are getting to be like the Westward series and this game to me is a far cry above that. Definitely do not get rid of the darkness that needs to be explored as the need to make unexpected strategies in the first run through of the game is what makes it so very very wonderful. Sometimes though I do wish my people had to do something to get the ability to build instead of what seems like unlimited resources out of nothing. I do hate having to feed people though so would not want this to go much beyond the building of a saw mill if there was forest and maybe a stone quarry if all rocks. Or maybe just on your initial island you have to build these buildings and then when you land on a new island you have to build a port so supplies can automatically be shipped in.
Got a hint as to how long you will wait for ideas in this forum before making a decision on whether to make a new game? Or will you be basing it on how many hits you get here? Is this question and link to this formun posted with in the other TT forums? Just curious if visiting your home page is the only way to get here? I check often just in the hopes of word of a TT2.

Sure, you can link to this page from other forums. This is brainstorm post so everyone is welcome. I can't really tell how long decision process will take place, we are running some research at the moment and basing on that research and all these brainstorm ideas we will make the decision whether to push TT2 and into which direction.

In playing through TTG again I realized that some of the mini puzzles were missing. Even though I couldn't figure out the clues all the time I still enjoyed having to figure them out. I liked to have figure out a puzzle to gain the 3 pieces of scroll to get the Shaman training.
I also missed looking for the key in the fire. I would like more of that, and although it was hard to get the pearl it is a shame to only have to collect shells to get it on Mist Island.
I also really liked the tunnels through the hills in TTG. reaching the Island by tunnel was great.

I will buy TT2. I liked some of the puzzles you took out of TT. But I even like the pixelated puzzles once you figure out how to do it....I like all different kind of puzzles so I like both games. I like the strategy and the battles most of all hate the research and not being able to build until research is over....I like the idea of resources as it looked silly to build with nothing in the desert. Since the name is Totem Tribe how about actually having a totem for the tribe. Something they could put at each village and then if the totem fell you had to start over again. That would make more sense than one person dying. The totem would be like the heart of the people. I also like the underwater city idea....or water enemies. And more dragons.....I wouldn't go too far into the future though how about only to the Aztec era.. or around there.

I would also like to build and research seperately, being able to seperate workers and troops to perform different tasks would also be nice, and some sort of hint system, earn, buy, search for, or suttle clues, just to point you in the right direction, it would avoid getting stuck and frustrated, and having to hunt down a walkthru or cheats for some. As others have said, hopefully the basic gameplay won`t change, as it is truly fantastic and unique! I`m sure whatever you do, it would be great! Even just different locations, characters, buildings, and puzzles would satisfy me! Still my all time favourite game!!!

Come up with a way to have specific troops target certain types of enemies. For example, you could have your fighters target the fungis, while your shamans target the dragons. It can get annoying when all my shamans and fighters target the same exact enemy while there's enough enemies to go around. Or you could get attack flags that are unit specific like one color flag for fighters, another for shamans, witch doctors, archers, cavemen....you get the idea.

Hy, I have a story idea to TT2, because i'm sad the totems are destroyed, and story is, that there is a secret thirteenth totem, called totem of human, which can bring back all the other 12 totems. The totem of human is at a sacred place, and if it goes to the other 12 holy places, it can make the totems.
