Today we have been deployed another update which will be final before the big Alpha 3 update. From now on we are fully commited to delivering the alpha 3. There are still a lot of work to do, so don't expect alpha 3 in the coming weeks, but it's a finish line for it - all major features are done and we are now busy pulling it all together for a release, fixing smaller things. I will remind you that when alpha 3 will be launched, all your kingdoms, heroes and towns will be deleted and you will have to start from scratch. However you will receive a refund in Enkord Cash points to your account and will be able to spend them again in alpha 3. We will make a news post in advance (roughly in a week before the wipe) so you will be aware of the coming total game reset. So what is new in today's update?Shelter. The major thing is Shelter now should be working. You will be able to hide your army so when your town is attacked, they won't fight and you will not loose it. Now you can hide there all your rare animals if you like. Even better, you will be able to enable auto-hide feature which allows to hide automatically all your troops that appear in your town. This way you can queue a lot of units before you go to sleep and be sure that when you get up, they won't be wiped one by one by some other player that attacked you at night. Ambient Sounds. Some players complained that silent pauses in the game are not good, but making music play without pauses to allow hears to rest will make it annoying. Therefore we have made compromise - now there is a long pause between music tracks, but instead of silence those pauses feature environment sounds. Tweaks & fixes. There are a number of smaller fixes and tweaks that were made with this update. We have detailed list in our update log. Let us know if Shelter was useful to you and if the music background is better with ambient environment sounds now.

It worked fine - I tried the shelter in three towns. The only thing is that I put "automatic" hide and then could't find where exactly my hero is as her icon disappeared from the unit window (top right corner). I have to look all shelters to find her. And, it also took like one minute to hide the units, but more than 5 minutes to call the hero back. Is it supposed to be this way? That particular shelter is level 1. It's not that big to get lost inside :)

Yes, extracting is meant to be slow so you won't abuse shelter to pop out units right before the enemy.

How does the auto button for the shelter work? I thought if you set up something on creation it would hide whoever was created, but instead it covered the units that were already in town

It hides everything possible. Limiting it to newly created units would remove flexibility. With current state it can hide units that were sent on attack far away and will return in the middle of a night when you are asleep. The shelter is small though. I will increate it twice in capacity on for the next update (probably alpha 3).

I think it would be useful if the fact that you have units in the shelter was reported on the Units tab on the top right of the screen. As it is they are invisible to you unless you click on the actual shelter itself.

Yes, this shelter implementation is far from convenient. We didn't bother with making a cute interface, because there is a global interface overhaul planned further along the way.

LOVE the new shelter. It is working just fine :) I agree with Ghera ... it is not easy to find the population within my towns. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future for this :) It is really a matter of getting used to "reading" the shelter on each visit. I am keeping track in writing for now. New ambient sounds are great.

Can you get in on the update if you haven't been playing? I am new here but am eagerly anticipating the new release so would love to be part of the testing now while I wait :)
This update is for existing testers, sorry. The new wave of invites will be sent when alpha 3 will be launched. You have to wait a bit more.
Thank you! I will be eagerly waiting... :0

Saracin I have already answered this question when you asked on another thread. So I've copied and pasted the answer I gave you then
Berserker has answered this question multiple times. They cant say how many alpha tests they are going to need as they cant predict future bugs in the next alpha release. I can understand your frustration but unfortunately it is impossible for them to give a date for release.
so? Im not asking for a date nor a number. Im asking for a date range or a number range, or at least an approximation.
So!!!!- so it is impossible to say. The developers can't predict the amount of bugs that will turn up in the coming alpha stages or even how many alpha stages they will need to release. Its a bit like asking how many times will I sneeze in August. You also need to make allowances for the fact that Enkord is in Ukraine and if things get any worse there, I personally will be a lot more concerned about the safety of the Enkord team and not when the release date is going to be. Patience is a virtue!
