  5. How did you beat the Juliana quest?
  6. Puzzle in Keepers Village. Have you beaten it? How long / how many tries did it take? How hard was it for you?
  7. How hard was items hidden in Ruins of New Kyiv? Which ones were the hardest? (not talking about gems)
  8. How many gems have you found in each of the two locations? Which ones are missing for you?

  11. How did you beat each of the new quests available in those locations? Specify any significant steps / choices.

We had a similar survey for Opposition Hideout here and it was quite helpful:

1. Around 3 hours

2. NK first (My hero died at ... "HIM" :P thanks for that) until I needed to wait 1hour, then KV. After I got the quest from Juliana I went back. Doing everything I can at NK and then back to KV. Now I'm finished with both. (I think so; actually there was no message "You have done everything for now...")

4. Eleuia is at home. The other stranger was angry, because I do not want to share the treasure :P.

5. Fargred is dead now. I've got the killing-quest before that, then I killed him and then I read about the "truth happening" there.

6. As I got there I tried a bit to see what happens.. and I read all hints a few times. Written them down, thought about it. Written down 6 different possible solutions .. and then I it. The first one was it, but it could have been the other 5, too. (I do not know if it is clock-wise or counter-clockwise AND the the three replacement-hints try to give you three different approaches.. that makes 2*3) --- all in all.. maybe 10 minutes?

7. I really liked the position of the "water"-icon. But I found the most things quite fast - just one or two lookarounds.

8. I've all of them in both locations. (But there was something strange in NK: I have collected a white stone two times on the same place. Was kinda strange)

9. I actually liked the conversations. You need to find something out.. and if you know more, more options are there. That there are decisions that prevent you from getting for example this strange guy in NK.. mh. I don't like it.

10. Comparisation is too complex. I let that some others do. I just can say the difficulty raise is great. That the puzzle here is just "good to have" but not necessary is good, too. I liked both locations - KV a bit more, because you need to search things and it feels like every little hint can lead to a new unlocked door! That you are forced to wait a hour ... yeah, I hate such things, but in this case the player has two alternate quest location (or will have), so it is okay. KV has more conversation-puzzle things. That is nice to have, but this location is soo big, and as this is a quest location, there should be more hidden things. The fight-location has even more ...

11. I have not written all of them down ... if you need some specific quests, just ask.

# Do we need to wait another year for the more quest locations? :)

I hope not a year. Actually I hope to release another quest location before alpha 4 but we have a lot of stuff that needs to be done so I am not so sure.

I am not sure I am done with everything I still have 4 open missions

1. I guess this took 3 days with a lot of help from folks that are ahead of me

2. I flipped back and forth waiting on the healer

3. I used 3 upgrade Legionaries and 3 archers

4. I think I have 2 the treasure hunter and the daughter the 3rd is locked in a bug

5. have not done that yet it locks me up

6. a LOT of help from some really awesome folk, I liked that the solution is different for each player really made ya think

7. the papers were the most difficult you hide those well and the items was a lot of help from other players I liked how finding stuff changed with the seasons

8. did not really bother with gems

9. I do like the conversations, there was some cute humor

10. I like them a lot very challenging none over the others

11. asked for help asked and begged and pleaded for help tried to offer to give food or whatever in payment but none was taken. It really made the game more social when pleading for assistance.

12. I still have 3 outstanding missions and have no clue what to do

Yes, Juliana is bugged ATM. Wait for a fix on Monday.

Not all missions can be beaten right now, some of them require future locations.

  1. How long did it take to beat each of the two locations?  KV AT LEAST 4 HOURS. NK SAME
  2. In what order have you beaten them? Was it one first then another, or flipping back and forth? If so, at which positions? NK FIRST. THEN KV GROMUS KV AGAIN AND NK
  3. If you have beaten Ruins of New Kyiv with NEW account, what kind of army allowed you to beat it? (For advanced pre-existing accounts this is not very useful because you are too strong for this location which is supposed to be unlocked earlier in the game) DANAMYTE LVL 4: 4 BRAVES 2 HORSEMEN, 6 HUNTERS. BEFORE BIG FIGHT WITH SKELETON KNIGHT, 3 MORE HORSEMEN AND 5 BRAVES
  4. Which characters did you managed to join your town? LESTER
  5. How did you beat the Juliana quest? I DIDN'T KNOW SHE EXISTED TILL SOMEONE TOLD ME ABOUT HER. I HAD THE BROOCH; BUT COULDN'T KILL FARGRED
  6. Puzzle in Keepers Village. Have you beaten it? How long / how many tries did it take? How hard was it for you? YES. WITH A LOT OF HELP OF MY FRIENDS. 3 TRIES, VERY HARD. TOO MANY VARIABLES FOR ME TO KNOW WHERE TO START.

  9. How did you like conversations with characters? Do they stand in the way of your gaming or compliment it well? THEY WERE HELPFULL. EXCEPT LESTER. TELLING HIM HE IS A BAD TREASURE SEEKER CAUSED HIM TO WALK AWAY MAD. BUT TELLING SON HE IS A LIER GOT A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT REACTION.
  10. How do you compare these 2 new locations with a) Opposition Hideout; b) original Totem Tribe locations; c) Keepers Village and Ruins of New Kyiv one towards another. A AND B WERE EASY. C AND D LESS SO. ( A LOT LESS SO :))
  11. How did you beat each of the new quests available in those locations? Specify any siginficant steps / choices. THE DOG WAS SIMPLE TO PUT TO SLEEP. FINDING THE WEATHER ITEMS TOOK LONGER. AND FINDING FARGREDS PAGES EVEN LONGER. DIDN'T REALISE HAD TO CHANGE THE TOWER.

Lots of spoilers in the answers, don't read if you don't want to be spoiled :)

1. I don't know exactly. I didn't want to rush, so it took me 4 days. I went to both locations 20 or 30 min. at a time, 4 or 5 times.
2. I started with New Kyiv only. Then I thought I had to go to the Keepers Village to find something, so I went back and forth from one the the other, alternatively after that, so that I was not bored or frustrated for too long when I didn't find what I was looking for :p
3. Hum... Hero was already level 13. I went with some upgraded Legionaries and archers. No losses.
4. Eleuia and Lester. Although, I can't find Lester anywhere in my Dwelling :(
5. I killed Fargred, found the brooch and returned it to Juliana. For this one, I decided to be a good girl, so I systematically chose the nice answers. I didn't ask for a reward. Something strange: she disappeared once the quest was finished. Don't know where she went or if it's a bug !
6. The puzzle is not really hard, but I tried several times with different combinations (also starting with white or finishing with white), assuming I had to use all three of the stones' clues ! As there was red around one and white around another, I thought the last one was for the yellow and made my combinations based on that. Until someone hinted that only one of them was good. After that, it was a piece of cake :p Tried a first combination and it was good on the second one !
7. Items were found easily except for the Sun: on a stone, there was a hint about branches, so I clicked on several branches... I have 5 pieces of the parchment and I guess there are more to find, but I have to rest my eyes now... Will go back later !
8. More than half for both locations. But... I haven't looked that hard since they are totally unuseful :D
9. The conversations were nice and helpful.
Problem: once you've read the stone in Kyiv that tells you the Sphere is in a secret library, I thought it was an information I was gonna tell to Kanen, but the dialogue hasn't changed there.
10. a) for the first quest, OH was nice and relatively simple, best way to start. Those 2 locations required a little more thought, a lot more of searching (items) and more inside quests that are bound not only to one location, which is very very nice.
b) New Kyiv had a nice feel that reminded me of TTG. Not only the skeletons, but the whole discovery of the territory. With the plus of activating things. Liked the interactions with the characters there ! KV had less of that until the puzzle and the trees + finding the village !
c) Both are very different and that's what made it more enjoyable. I'm sure, with the 3rd location to interact with, it will be a delight to go back and forth between OH, NK, KV and Karathingy :p
11. Started with NK. First, I explored and read the stones carefully. Did my battles, talked with the nice Healer, found the Cerberus, talked to the hunter. Since I found berries and bones, tried to feed those to the dog... And went to the Healer, which seemed logical. I explored a little more and discovered that I had missed some locations (hidden thorns). Went back, knocked the bad dog down, went to the chests. I tried to put the Dice on top of many things, like statues. I thought another key was in the crystal, so I decided to go to the KV to see if there was something there to help me, but apparently, the crystal can't be crushed yet.
In KV: see above for the puzzle. After a while, I decided to go back to let my brain rest. In the meantime, I sent wood there and went to NK to see if I had missed something, tried the dice a little more with no success. Returned to KV, tried some more combinations on the puzzle, built the bridge to the village, watered the trees and talked to everyone ! Since there was nothing to help me with the weather tower and I had to prove myself to Kanen, I went back to OH where I found new quests !
Went back and forth to both locations to chat a little more + OH to make sure I didn't miss anything.
Finally found the tower to put the dice after many many failed attempts :p. Found everything easily, except for the sun (I admit, I asked for help) - see 7. Killed the madman... didn't find the brooch, so I thought it was a bug until I found it elsewhere. I put the Amulet in the spot, but the damned thing is broken, so nothing happened :(
Hired my new treasurer, went to KV to validate the quests. Raised my Charisma (nice, so I could try those potions) and freed Eluiela.
Quests in waiting: memory, sphere, last favor, Alta (And the pieces of parchment).
Mispelling during the conversations I've had with Kanen:
I'll be back later (1 T)- Collaboration (2 L) - Emperors (1 R) - Chieftain (i missing) - and last, forgot to take the screen, sorry: ... World should be based on HappiEness (- E).

Sorry for the long post, but I believe if you can see how we thought it out, it will be easier to adjust if need be :).

1.  Not sure exactly.  I took my time.  Worked on it over the course of 2 days.  It probably amounted to at least 8 hours or more of time total if I had to estimate.

2.  I completed New Kyiv first and that's also the one I started with.  However, I did go back and forth between both quest locations at one point.  I had most of NK complete before going to KV.  I tried killing the monster on my own and died, so I had to resurrect once.

3. My hero was lvl 10 and did it with hero alone.

4.  Lester and Eleuia joined me.  I answered nicely as well to be safe.  I did ask for something in return, however.   Talking to Kanen, one of my other heros failed this portion and doesn't have enough charisma.  (Also, nice little side story about Lester losing everything to a woman :P )

5.  I talked to Juliana nicely but I did ask for something in return.  I gave her the broach.  I went back and killed Fargred.  Then went back to Juliana and the conversation is still the same.  Is this a bug?  Nothing happens.

6. I completed the puzzle at New Kyiv on my first attempt.  Probably a bit of luck.  I do a lot of puzzles so figured it was a type of cryptogram.  It took me about 15-20 minutes.  I did it a round-about way, though, that I won't go into. LOL!

7.  I thought the items were hidden very well.  The sun was the hardest to find.  I think I clicked on it with some luck while looking for a gem.  Some of the skeletons were hidden good also behind ruins.  I probably wouldn't have found the hidden thorns to uncover more clouds if I hadn't accidentally clicked on them.  One parchment took me longer to find also.  I blended in well.

8.  I forgot about the gems until I just read this post above.  I have to go back and find the rest.  I have a 2-3 left at both locations.  Great job hiding them, btw!

9.  I love the conversations and the different outcomes.  It definitely adds another element to the game and makes you pay attention and think before clicking through it, especially if it affects a quest.  Could be very tricky.

10.  These quests are a nice step up from OH.  The OH is a good way to "get your feet wet," so to speak.  New Kyiv seemed toughest and my favorite.  Many elements to it and different things going on at the same time.  Loved it!!!!  I like the interaction with characters and making sure you click on everything.  It is unpredictable, which is good.

Keepers Village was fun and a nice break from everything going on at New Kyiv.  The puzzle was easy for me.  I might have just lucked out.  I did have to ask about tree watering because I somehow missed the rune stone that said what to do.  I saw all the dead trees and new it was strange but had to get a hint.

11.  I beat New Kyiv first.  I went into it taking my time, clicking everything and reading everything.  I took some notes as well.  I talked to characters many times just to make sure I didn't miss anything and chose my words carefully, always being polite for the most part, except asking for something in return.  Arachnea's description above is very similar to mine.

I'm sure I have forgotten something but the post is getting lengthy, so I will stop.  Feel free to ask me specific questions if I have been too vague or I missed an answer to something.

I could do these quests all day every day!  Can't wait for the next one.  LOVE IT!!!

Several questions to those whe have beaten the new 2 locations:

  1. How long did it take to beat each of the two locations? I started with one hero and it took about 6 hours total for that hero,  with approximately equal time spent in both areas.  I started a second hero about half way through so that I could compare them.
  2. In what order have you beaten them? Was it one first then another, or flipping back and forth? If so, at which positions? Started in New Kyiv and after clearing the obvious areas, I had the hero wandering around the edges in the fog which revealed the Treasure Hunter and Cerberus. Took a break and cleared Keepers and made a few attempts at the puzzle.  Then went back and forth until finished.
  3. If you have beaten Ruins of New Kyiv with NEW account, what kind of army allowed you to beat it? (For advanced pre-existing accounts this is not very useful because you are too strong for this location which is supposed to be unlocked earlier in the game)  FYI hero was level 5 and did use 3 braves and 3 archers for bone knight.  Other hero level 5 died.
  4. Which characters did you managed to join your town? Both, but Treasure Hunter was hidden in one dwelling until this last update.
  5. How did you beat the Juliana quest? It didn't stand out as really it's own quest to me, but more part of the overall story line.
  6. Puzzle in Keepers Village. Have you beaten it? How long / how many tries did it take? How hard was it for you?  Yes, I beat it with both heroes.  It was clear from the start to me that it had to do with the groups of flowers and the 3 equations on the rune stones.  The solution I found that worked for me for both heroes ultimately was not the solution that would work in every case.  I had a more complicated math formula using just the "or is it really" equation which worked by coincidence for both heroes, and I misdirected a couple of people until we realized that the solution was the same in principle but using a different approach to the numbers.
  7. How hard was items hidden in Ruins of New Kyiv? Which ones were the hardest? (not talking about gems)  The sun and 3 of the pages were difficult.  The rest just needed careful searching.  The twist with the weather tower was great, and the story line of Fargred and fire and the pages was great.
  8. How many gems have you found in each of the two locations? Which ones are missing for you?  I did not spend time specifically looking for gems.  One hero has 1 yellow and 2 white remaining in Keepers and 1 yellow, 1 green and 2 white remaining in Kyiv, the second hero has over half found.  I'll go back and find the rest later :)
  9. How did you like conversations with characters? Do they stand in the way of your gaming or compliment it well?  Liked the conversations, and the villagers were cute!
  10. How do you compare these 2 new locations with a) Opposition Hideout; b) original Totem Tribe locations; c) Keepers Village and Ruins of New Kyiv one towards another. These two locations complemented each other with very different atmospheres and tasks which I really enjoyed.  They were a good step up from the OH, which I assume would be the sequence in the game.  It is hard to compared them to TTG because I played that straight through and not in pieces.  But these new quests kept the same spirit of those in TTG.
  11. How did you beat each of the new quests available in those locations? Specify any siginficant steps / choices.  In one I saw the "Chosen One" on his departure but not the dying soldier, and the opposite for my other hero.  It was unsatisfying not having a better idea of what the bloody letter from the soldier was for and if I had to somehow make sure the other hero found it too.  It was also unsatisfying not to be able to read Fargred's pages when the dialogue implied we would when we found all of them (luckily there was a pop-up screen that indicated that the last one had been found or I would still be searching :)  At the time, the ending in Kyiv was also frustrating, but the new line in the quest tab helps to let you know that there is more to come in the library.  One thing that I didn't like and could be problematic if happening earlier in the game was that when trying to figure out how to open some locations, the game let me waste a Dajong's Jackhammer and also a inventory saw without telling me that they were not the right item.  As these are Ecash items that was frustrating.

I would like to add two suggestions.  The first is that with these two heroes the quest locations were a looooong was from home :)  It would be very helpful if when dismissing the hero, you could specify exactly where you would like the hero to go.  The other suggestion would be that the hero should have to follow up with Gromus when done.  Maybe this would be where you would learn more about the sphere, or the secret library.  Hope this is helpful!  Great job you guys!

I totally agree. It is annoying to send them to the closest town and then have to wait till they get there to send them to where you them to be.

Some update on the new quest locations: I've not come very far yet. Found the healer, just talked to him, but so far that hasn't changed anything (don't know if it has to...), had some fights with the skeletons (using only stone age troops - about ten of each, except for the rams which I kept at home) and lost only half of my explorers and spies. My hero is still at lvl 1, but upgrading now (never lost him). There still seems to be one group of skeletons to be beaten, where nearby there is a hint-stone whith red marked text, but don't know how to get there (at least I can see them up north when using the F key).

Some stuff I found: some blue fruits, one set of bananas and one script written in a language that cannot be read. The last thing I managed was to water the trees and thus find the entrance to the village and talked some to their chief, but cannot make anything out of it yet. So either I'm in desperate need for some help, or I'll have to work and explore harder still. ;)

So mainly I have to admit, that mostly I don't know what the others are talking about when mentioning what they found, and whom they talked to...*lol*

i found it before that, it's a hint but maybe too mysterious, the first one made me click on every tree before noticing it wasn't the seal what it talked about, this one would make me click in every shadow if i didn't find it earlier

Several questions to those whe have beaten the new 2 locations:

    1. How long did it take to beat each of the two locations?  I did them over several days but probably spent at least 12 hours or so maybe more.
    2. In what order have you beaten them? Was it one first then another, or flipping back and forth? If so, at which positions? I jumped back and forth between the locations, and as others have said it was a long way to walk. It would be nice if there are 2 locations that are interlinked that you can relocate your hero to the other location.
    3. If you have beaten Ruins of New Kyiv with NEW account, what kind of army allowed you to beat it? (For advanced pre-existing accounts this is not very useful because you are too strong for this location which is supposed to be unlocked earlier in the game)  I had  hero level 2 and just my 5 braves and hunters and a witchdoctor.  My hero managed to survive until the bone knight so had to go back again. Second hero was still level 1 but had been playing longer with that one so had classical troops so no problem.
    4. Which characters did you managed to join your town?  Lester joined but I said the wrong thing to the leader and now don't have enough charisma with 1 hero but with second managed to get both to join.
    5. How did you beat the Juliana quest?  I talked to her several times, needed help to find all the pages as that last one was well hidden and also to actually find the broach. Killed Fargren  both heroes ( nice touch with the fog)  but I  can't remember exactly what I said or did as with second hero I cannot find broach
    6. Puzzle in Keepers Village. Have you beaten it? How long / how many tries did it take? How hard was it for you?  Very hard, had to have help. I knew the flowers were numbers and that you needed to move the dial but could not work out the connection between the  numbers on the 3 hint stones and the flowers. I found the arrow button confusing as there looks to be an up and a down so you assume you are supposed to move it. I also got confused with the red button showing different light effects when you pressed it as it matched the colour of the flowers so thought you were supposed to do something in that order.
    7. How hard was items hidden in Ruins of New Kyiv? Which ones were the hardest? (not talking about gems)  Found the berries ok, just about correct in my opinion, Found 5 out of 6 papers on my own once someone had said you need the fog on. Had to have a hint about that last paper, Sun very well hidden( maybe a tad too well or needs a slightly brighter colour if you leave it there) Found the raindrop on my own but needed hints for snowflake and fog.  That thorn bush was also very well hidden, even though I had done it with my first hero it took me ages to remember I had to remove it with the second.
    8. How many gems have you found in each of the two locations? Which ones are missing for you? Did not concentrate on gems but found over half for each location.
    9. How did you like conversations with characters? Do they stand in the way of your gaming or compliment it well?  I liked most of the conversations and it compliments the gaming but I am not sure I liked the fact that if you said the wrong thing to someone you were locked out of that quest. Could be very irritating having open quests with no way to finish them.
    10. How do you compare these 2 new locations with a) Opposition Hideout; b) original Totem Tribe locations; c) Keepers Village and Ruins of New Kyiv one towards another. I did not especially like Keepers village as I found watering those trees very irritating as you keep having to go to the water to fill the jar and then you lose track of where the tree was.  Suggestion, can the jar be infinitely filled so you can just water them and not have to keep filling up. Also you are able to water some trees more than once ( at least you lose the water) which does not help. I also felt there were too many trees.
    11. How did you beat each of the new quests available in those locations? Specify any siginficant steps / choices.  I had to have a lot of help especially with New Kyiv and I found on several occasions I was totally stuck on both locations with  no idea what to do next.  I knew what I had to do in OH and most of the time in original TT and Gold. Very frustrating if you have no clue what you are supposed to be looking for or doing. Loved the graphics and atmosphere of New Kyiv and Keepers was a nice contrast although my feelings would be kinder towards that  location but the trees annoyed me.Lol  Maybe a couple more information stones around  especially in New Kyiv would be good to help the challenged. Also at the moment you are not sure if you have finished the Crossroad quest or not so just as well you posted something. Last point. I found it rather strange that not everyone found the soldier. As that is an open quest for later why does everyone  not find him?  From what I have read all the other quests are the same for everyone. Hope this is of some use, I did this first with my leaderism hero, don't know if that makes a difference.

We had a similar survey for Opposition Hideout here and it was quite helpful:

    1) New Kyiv about 3 hours including gems.Keepers village about 2 hours.Tried puzzle for 20 minutes or so,then left it.Found all gems.

    2) Went to village first. Then to New Kyiv after i spoke to chief, champion, doc, son and juliana.Finished there and went back to Juliana.

    3) Hero level too high.

    4) Only Lester joined. Will go back for healer.

    5) Killed Fargred.Found brooch.

    6) Nope. Not my kind of fun.Asked a friend the second day to give me a hint and solved it.

    7) Items not too hard to find.Sun was a bit tricky:).

    8) Found all gems in both locations.

    9) Conversations were good.Especially the last one with Lester:).Different outcomes make the conversations          more important. They helped me to figure out the good from the bad guys:).

    10) These two were a lot more interesting.

    11) Keepers village: explored,watered trees,spoke to everyone,skipped puzzle,found gems.

Kyiv: found archer, healer and cerbero, made potion, put doggy to sleep and took all items there.Killed                 Fargred.Found items to adjust tower and lowered the bridge.

Overall i liked locations and quests. But i only do those in between my other things in the game.Quests are not that important to me.Once i know their solutions, i just take care of them asap.

I am not sure I liked the fact that if you said the wrong thing to someone you were locked out of that quest. Could be very irritating having open quests with no way to finish them.

If you failed a quest it won't be open - it will be switched into "failed" state. If it is not in that state, it is suppose to have a solution still.
