Hi guys, I've been trying to bring up the subject for some time yet no one really seems to know the answer. When I created my first account about 6 month ago, I became associated with an alliance member (a big mistake - I was a new player, was going away for 10 days so I asked my alliance leader - who I trusted with my life - to look after my research during that time. None of us knew what the consequences would be. The alliance I was in was at war and I couldn't fight alongside my leader so she decided to let me go, perhaps temporarily, to delete my account, wait until it's finished and create a new one. I did delete my account, waited for the 2 weeks, then created a new one and - surprise surprise, my old heroes are still there and so is the association. I thought the association was account related but perhaps it's IP related, does anyone know? And, maybe, it's also the reason why my account wasn't deleted in the first place - is there a "Catch 22" of some sort? I asked some of the most seasoned players, none of them know for sure...maybe someone else experienced this and knows the way out of it? Or would one of the devs shed some light on the situation? It's not exactly a common problem but there must be a solution other than leaving the game for good.

As far as I know, the association is IP related. I know of people who had an association that dropped off at some point but how it happened I don't know. I would love a definitive answer about that as well.

It's a mystery, really. It's now clear that it is IP related and, also, that an account associated to other player cannot be deleted. I really wish that some of the devs explained how it worked and why (I know that it was introduced to prevent players from cheating but they should assess individual cases - I was a newbie and my alliance leader never dealt with such situation so neither of us knew that we're going to be punished by a permanent association). I'm lucky enough that an alliance promised to accommodate me despite of the "twinhood" but I already had quite a lot of friends in the game which made things easier for me. For some it may be the end, just because one stupid mistake. I wish the devs listened more to individual players - I was ready to leave the game for good (and I donated - not a lot but as much as I could afford). Losing players this way is not good for Encord I guess. Being a bit less restrictive and paying some attention to humble players may be a better strategy, IMO.

Yes, I want help too for that ! The associate thing was done in a minute and without a warning what it meant and normally when a Hero is not playing and has a Red dot, he will be gone. Now they still are in the game, after a lot of days not playing. Is that a bug ?
