Suggestion on Flower Puzzle

First, my apologies if someone already suggested this. I tried sifting through the forum threads to find anything related, but there are so many discussions on the flower puzzle that it was difficult. 

We all know we've been having challenges with the puzzle, and some of us have gotten further then others. I've managed to make it to blue flowers at 12X13 square, but since then have failed to weed the garden many times. I don't know about anyone else, but I feel like I've mostly learned the rules through trial and error, not by what the gardener has said. I feel the rules are extremely hard to follow when written down in explanation; it's just that kind of puzzle. 

My suggestion is: is it possible to give visual examples in the game? Show a few pictures of examples and let the player get what they can from that? I'm a visual learner, and I think that would help me so much more than a long, complex explanation that goes right over my head. And I don't think it would make that puzzle THAT much simpler too solve, just easier to understand the rules. Is this a possibility?

While it's not 100% exactly the same, it is very close.  I am doing much better with the weeding puzzle after reading these techniques and seeing the examples.

I think it would be helpful to see the entire puzzle revealed when you mess up. Then you can see the flowers in relation to each other and the roads.

I agree, if this was possible it would really help us understand the puzzle better:)

These are old posts but as a newbie here I am not sure how to post a problem - so I have tacked on here. I have completed the garden for third time but it seems frozen now. Talking to gardener, I have three options: repeat rules, get hints, or leave. Not sure if this is a bug or if I need to wait for something else to happen. Thanks.

You have to do the puzzle until is 7 X 7 tiles, then talk to her again. GL
