Good morning. I'm relatively new to the game and I don't understand perks, except fpr knowing that you need them. I can't find anything here that tells me how to get them, where to get them or just anything about them. Everything that I've read here talks about them like everyone knows about them, Well I don't. Can someone give me the definitive description? I really need some help with this. Especially the fortune hunter perk. Please someone?

Hi.  You get skill and perk points to assign each time you level your hero up through the meditation process.  You can meditate and level up when you get the requisite experience points indicated in your hero tab.

Skill points are assigned to things like intellect, charisma, dexterity, strength and so on.  You will see buttons when you assign those points that then will take you into the perk screen where you will see "perks" that are associated with each skill.  It is there that you will select a perk or perks and thus assign the points to it.

When you click on your hero tab as Zweistein showed you, there will be a left tab for experience window, one for equipment etc.  Clicking on the experience tab will show you the experience points needed to reach the next level.  You will also see a button that is either "stats up" (someone put the correct language in here please)  or reskill depending on what you've done thus far.  Reskill will be yellow/orange and stats up will be green if you have unused skill points to assign.

I'm sure others can make this clearer and hope they chime in.  :-)

When you level up your hero, you will be able to get 2 stats and 1 perk.

I usually go to the perks first, so I can see if I need a certain stat in order to get the perk that I want.

Stats strengthen your hero or army in some way. Perks allow you to do certain things, but may also strengthen you in some way. It is up to you to chose which one is best for your playing style. There are many perks to chose from and I want them all :)

Good luck in choosing stats and perks that help you play the kind of game that you want to play. I have also pmed you, so you can ask me for more guidance if you have more questions about them.

Basically I Want to reach someone in the game because they've been very helpful. If the instigate communication then, of course I can talk to them. I also wanted to share that lada(?) thing I got in a package deal. Couldn't see anyway to do that either. Any help yo can give would be appreciated...

The Lada can be sent only to someone on your friends list.  To do so you drag the gift Lada (has a little clock on it to indicate that it will expire) you drag it to the button on the right (while you are in the world map) that has the little arrows forming a circle on it.  Then you merely select the person who will receive the Lada.

To PM someone in the game, I think has already been answered but you either do the command /whois [space no brackets] general tag (user name#x) or hero name (hero@x) and then click on the bubble in the lower left corner of the hero page.

Or, if you see them on the common chat, right click on their name and then click on the bubble again.

Or, if you see them on the world map through exploration, click on the hero town, then the name of the hero above the town name on the interface and again, the bubble.

You can also always give a shout-out on common chat and ask the person to pm you to open a chat window.  :-)
