Today we are introducing the new behavior of town population - your townsfolk will no longer aimlessly wander around their buildings, but instead will be doing their duty. The workers will go to the resource facilities and deliver resources to storage. Then others will deliver resources from storage to the construction site. Some citizens will work at the construction site, knocking their little hammers. Occasionally, citizens will show their superstitious respects when passing by the religious buildings like the altar or temple. I could go on and on, but it is better to see it than to read about it. While this feature does not add any functionality to the town and is basically one big eye-candy, it makes the town feel more alive and pleasant to look at. Also - this is the first step toward visualizing battles - so stay tuned for that future update. Finally, I have to mention that this is the first big undertaking from our recent programmer Spoon, who had before this been busy with minor features and bug fixes. He would love to hear your feedback about today's update - so don't hesitate to post it in the comments. Cheer him up to motivate him for future undertakings :)

They are cute! Although mine are not really church-go'ers. Too busy with running up and down the farms. :)

It will be strange to see the citizens walking right through the monsters, no matter how horrendous, as fighting units do now when no hero is along.

The behavior of townsfolk is not final quality and will be improved over time.

I would have expected to see those going to and from production sites spending more time working on production. But perhaps I'm biased by remembering how it used to be.

The ones working on production are inside the buildingsm those who go there and back are only delivering :)

I have been absent from the game for a couple weeks and the new addition was a great surprise to me! Thank you Spoon :) My favorite part is when they stop to bow to the gods. Very nice, and I look forward to the battle animations to come!

I like the new citizen movements around town. It does actually feel as if the town has come alive. So ... it is a great heading for the update.
I did notice a lot of people at the church but none at the library. Hmmm .. No wonder Zweistein is complaining! :)

I love the new movement of the towns population. It really makes it feel alive. Any chance we can get the people scrambling as the towns gets attacked. I have this image in my head of the little people running frantically while shaking hands to find shelter...... Is that a bit much? Overall Great Job, as always :)

Yes, when the battle behavior will be implemented eventually, peaceful people will also react.

Hahaha, you just put in my head the image of folks crying "Mayday mayday, emergency, kids and women on the shelter, fighters on the barricades, prepare the ambulances, arm the towers..." and so on. Too funny, excellent idea :-)))
