Test Version of Totem Tribe II: Jotun for Mobile Phones is Available!

Test Version of Totem Tribe II: Jotun for Mobile Phones is Available!

Today we are glad to present Totem Tribe II: Jotun playable on mobile devices for testing.

Phone version of the game runs in portrait mode and should be suitable to use with one hand. All of the interface is adapted to be used on small screen.

Some screens of panels have been completely reworked to work in portrait mode - buildings menu, hero tabs, chat/relations tab, resource/units/progress panels and numberous smaller ones to many to mention.

Today's update presents the huge chunk of work we have been making for the last year.

Although phone version is very rough and requires a lot of polish in order to be as good as Windows version, still the largest portion of the work is done and the light in the end of the tunnel is finally visible.

Additionally this update presents a lot of changes and optimizations in the engine which makes the game run faster and consume significantly less memory which should be visible to those players who play Totem Tribe II: Jotun on old laptops.

Unfortunately like with every major update there would be a lot of bugs, so keep reporting them and they will eventually be fixed in the next update.

Here is the link to play Totem Tribe II: Jotun on your phone or any other device (iPad, MacBook, Android Tablets, Linux, etc.):

In the comments please post the full name of your device and your experience with the game - how it runs for you and whether it is fast / stable enough to be usable.

Still crashes quickly on iphone 6s, and can't tap on anything on my android, this one might be too old though. I expected an apk/ipa, but in fact while needed today's news is just about an interface improvement. Once it doesn't crash anymore, do you plan to put the game on google play/appstore ? They sure steal ton of money but bring a lot of players too, otherwise companies like even blizzard with hearthstone wouldn't do it.

They bring no players unless you pay for advertisement. No, we don't plan to put the game there, because if advertising, better do it directly without 30% cut. Other companies have no choice, because they have native apps, not web apps. Web apps are much harder to make and are slower overall, if we will manage to fix/optimize what we have it would be an advantage for us of not having an apk.

Tried on Samsung Galaxy S20+, works well.  Just tried it for a short while so far.  Managaed to change towns, set builds.  Could not find the chat interface?  Will play with it more next time I am on the road.  Tks Bers, looks awesome.

Used a bit further, successfully sent RSS to another player, I found the Chats inside the friends icon after advice, and this worked well too.

Does it demand a certain level of iOS or version of the iPad. I tried to load the link on my iPad mini2 , but it just shows a grey screen with the rotating white circle and that the game is fully loaded. Nothing else happens for how long ever you let it run.

Downloaded to Samsung A40. Setting builds, new research, exploring etc is fine , layout is good and able to zoom in on the maps, everything easy to find. My only issue is timers, CC and messages are VERY small so struggling with that. Is there a way to zoom in on these areas?

No hard requirements, but I assume it requires certain amount of memory and processing power, so old devices unlikely would run it. Although situations like yours sould like a bug, so maybe it will be fixed in the future updates.

Hi. I tried with my Galaxy A6 tablet. This time it works perfectly with Edge installed on this tablet. The loading is long enough but succeed. The game itself works fine but - probably the A6 hardware - the game works slowly.

I noticed since there is no right click on a tablet (or a phone), you cannot switch your heroes with the right click. Maybe a new button could help. I use the alliance tab to find the good button to switch the 2 heroes. The new GUI is fine for tablets, but I was wondering something : sometimes, the virtual keyboard pop up from my tablet, and sometimes it pops up since the game (a QWERTY light-brown keyboard). How can I use the game's keyboard only, for instance, since it is more compliant with this game?

Where exactly do you need the right click? On the player's nickname?

Also not sure what do you mean about keyboards. Could you post a screenshot?

Playing on my ancient OnePlus 3T (running Android version 9).

Noticed that every time I switch from pc to mobile and vice versa, I have to fill in my secret question.

Also, at some point the world map music glitched out a bit, as in stuttering noise.

On Android, I find this feature:

SETTINGS -> ACCESSIBILITY -> VISIBILITY ENHANCEMENTS -> MAGNIFICATION

Great for zooming in on the chat and other things.
