i have been trying for days and days, hours upon hours to figure out those stupid pixelated pictures. it's now gotten to the point where i really can't go any further in the game except to go inside the comet and i do NOT want to do that.
someone/somewhere MUST have the proper sequence of arrow clicks that will get this pictures done!
no pix...i can't continue game.

I'm with you. No matter what I try, they will not line up and you need them to for the last gem. I left it and went on, but am not happy that I know eventually I'll have to go back. Since the walkthrough here and on another site doesn't give a step-by-step answer, I don't think there is one. You just hope. I think it's the one real drawback to this game. I loved the first one and love this one, except for the pixilated pictures. Also cannot get Firefly Island to open so don't know if it is a glitch or what, but have a question in that I hope someone can answer.

i have a feeling that you can't open Firefly Island until you get the pixalated pictures done and you can set the last gem/get the crook and flail etc.

It is a map you get, but I can't remember where. Nothing to do with finishing the pixelated pictures. But I agree, I did them a couple of times, and now can't get them so am likely to throw in the towel, which is a real shame as the rest of the game is wonderful. Guro, is there an answer to those pics please?

The upper puzzle with the guys was easier since it gives a much clearer picture than the one with the girls; also focus on the staff in the upper picture and keep it clear throughout the solving process.
In the bottle one I focused on the white spot in the headress of the girl on the left.

the map for firefly island you get on the island with the wolf tribes.
you need to get 11 claws and then you get the map. I forgot the name of the island. It has the idol that wants only 1 icecrystal, Yes just one! :)

Hi everybody,
maybe you have already solved the pixel-puzzle, but if not here's some help.
Try to focus on a spot somewhere in the picture (probably very faint) that you can see multiple times in different places of the square. In the upper pixel-puzzle, i focused on the blue staff. Try to move these parts to eachother. First you should check which one of the arrows corresponds with the spot you want to move. If you have figured this out, try to get them together. If they fit, the whole picture becomes a bit clearer and it is easier to see the rest of the parts of the spot you focus on (in my case, the blue staff). Just continue with moving them together, and finally you'll have a very clear picture. To finish the puzzle: move the whole square (in one piece) so that it is in the right position (do this by clicking each of the arrows a similar number of times).

As far as I am concerned, I REFUSE to spend HOURS doing these. I managed to get them to work once so finished the game with the final battle and all. As all the puzzles have a sequence to them, I am sure these pixelated pictures do too, but until someone discovers what the sequence is, from here on I will use the highlighting for the last gems, and not bother about the final battle, which is a real shame as it is not really satisfying not to be able to do all the quests.
I did try to follow the video on youtube for one picture, but it is not easy to see how many clicks for each button. It certainly didn't work for me. And none of the hints have worked for me. Is there anyone out there who has found the sequence?????

Sorry, every time you play the puzzle is mixed differently.
There is no universal step-by-step solution.

Those puzzles were driving me crazy also when I played the game.
Maybe you should allow us to download the previous version of the game who had a bug which solved the puzzles for you when you exit the island.
These puzzles are a big minus in TT gold.

Hear! Hear! It is a big minus for TTG, when the rest of the game is so good. I missed having to find the map pieces on Volcano Island. Getting them just by having some "tribesmen" walk near them, made them not interesting. And they were so easy to do.
Well, as I said, I certainly won't be wasting my time on the pixelated pictures anymore. Now to highlight the gems and do the Guardian Moon and that will be the end of this game.

I gave up too and was also missing 1 of the stones so finally got tired of it all and left. Then when it asked if I wanted to continue that island I said NO. Yes, I had to start all over, but it loaded a different set I guess because it was much easier to do. There is no easy way as the set is different every time. You just have to click away and try to make sense of it all. Sorry, I know this is no help, but I wish you luck.

Well, I liked the 5 purple things we used to have to click on in the comet crash site. Never mind, just a pity not to be able to have the satisfaction of finishing as it should be done.

I have the same problem perhaps we should ask if the programmers can e-write the program for this part of the game to make the puzzles easiers

Yes, Guro, how about it for us poor mortals who can't spend for ever trying to solve the almost unsolvable for us? Having highlighted the gems, I can do the whole thing, but would much prefer doing the TTG properly. And be able to get the last Gem of Power.

I like those puzzles! Once I figured them out, I've enjoyed the challenge of watching carefully as I click on the different arrows to see what starts to line up. I've played the game through about 7 times now, and I enjoy all of the puzzles! I never did finish Totem Tribe - don't remember now what I couldn't figure out, but I'm loving TTG!!! Thanks Guro!!!
