Yes I also have had this problem for quite some time.

The initial HTTP request for GET /bugs/ is very long. My Firefox debugger reports 14.13secs just to load this page. It takes about 2 seconds to load the rest of the assets for this page, so I assume there is a bad loop/query running on the server for this page. I personally don't mind having to wait 14 secs, but there's definitely a problem there.

For a reference, the GET of /section/game-discussion/ only takes about one seconds, and about 3 seconds to load all the assets.

it still takes forever to enter bugs report. I saw there are 94 pages. couldn't the really old ones be put in an Archive, that can be accessed separately?

I have just checked access to bug report section. There is still a slight lag but is much much quicker than it used to be. To put into context, on my machine, the bug report section takes about a second longer to access than the new posts section, so is a vast improvement.Thank you Bers

The game keeps crashing on me.  I will be playing and then the screen freezes and my "mouse" can no longer move over the board. the board clears itself and all my buildings and people disappear.  If I close the game at this point, it starts over from where i started previously.  It has happened on Skull Island and Volcano Island.  I have started a new game-had the same issues
