[Call for ideas] Rewards for reaching Victory

After launching Beta 1 which has Cataclysm, the importance of Victories increased but IMO right now reaching victory does not give you much benefits. I am starting this thread to brainstorm the ideas about rewards we could give after reaching Victory. The trouble is there is not much can be useful to player if he is loosing his hero and country. This is the list of things I came up with:

  • Increased stat limit by +10 (different stat for different Victory type) - up to 100 (currently implemented)
  • Ribbon upgrade on achievement medals - will make sense after next update when we will make those medals visible to everyone (currently implemented)
  • Transfer of 3 existing items, +1 per each next victory (currently implemented)
  • Package with items (currently implemented)
  • Additional high level artifact (like level 45-50) or several on top of the existing transfered ones
  • +2 stat points on next hero start (up to +20 total per multiple victories)
  • +1 perk point on next hero start (up to +10 total per multiple victories)
  • Random unique appearance items (those that were removed from Cash Shop)
  • Some VIP points

What else could motivate you to reach the Victory and not being forced into it by Cataclysm? Post any of your ideas here.

Unique items - like Marena's cycle for example ( instant resurect of your hero)

1 unique item allowing instantly to get a new level for your hero.

1 unique item allowing to finish a tech instantly...

I love the idea of extra perk and stat points as a reward.  I note that the stat limit has been increased but I am not sure I've actually seen it work.  I obtained the wealth victory once and see no difference in stat count to date or am I missing something?  (It wouldn't be the first time lol).I still think level 50 is too low and would love the ability to reach 75 max after 5 victories with the attendant stat/perk points of course.  The unique items are cool but for me not a huge impetus to achieve victory.

Stat limit depends on Victory. For Wealth vicotry you have +10 to max Vitality (so 60 instead of 50).

What would motivate me? Okay I am not sure you could do this, but how about giving me more room when I start a new hero. Say a bigger square at the start or just making sure a new neighbor does not end up right on my border. I have done the wealth victory at least 3 times, Culture once, War never.  I like competition, so if someone was going for whatever victory at the same time I was, let me know so we can "race"  or challenge each other. I also like the perks on weapons, but do not always or ever get the ones I like. Such as science speed up, or resource boosts. I like the random unique clothing, I lost a male hat cause I had to delete a hero because someone told me to move or die. I forgot about the hat being on the hero, and gone forever. All the rest of your plans are dandy to me.

I'll just throw some ideas in here.
- Unique perk path that would give the player different advantages that would add up (like artefact levels) as you add more perks. This could be made so that the player is forced to put 10 skills for intellect for example AND reach war victory at least once. Then for second perk you'd need 20 skills and 2 war victories... until you get to the point where you would actually have to put the extra skills you earn for victories to reach the best perks. (60 skills and 5 or 6 war victories...)
- Unique bonus starter equipment pack that would last for a specific amount of time. They can give the player extra bonuses to start the game from scratch again such as reduced construction time % or experience gained from quests % and so...
- Ability to skip the New Dawn age and all the boring tutorial stuff we already know and start with really basic town. This shouldn't really give a huge disadvantage to anyone neighbourhood towns as you only skip less than hour worth of time.
- Permament increase on different types of consumables? Battle Cry for example increasing the effectiveness up to 30% Whatever the reward is, I think it has to give specific advantages to the player willing to play from scratch again.

We will consider this.

An immortal pet, that does not fight.  Collect a new one for each victory.

More statues.

A hat, based on the type of victory.  A wonder as a hat, only much smaller.  Or a gold coloured top hat, with a dollar sign.  Maybe a glorious cloak, for second victory, an awesome dress or suit, for 3rd, etc.

Personally, I would like my hero to remember the existence of a age's worth of strategic resources, so you can see them on world map without having to research the tech for them first, though you still need the tech to actually USE them still. I figure this ability would help with planning out your expansion route and stuff.

I was thinking 1 victory lets you remember Stone age Strategic resources (Horses, Spices, or Marble,) then every 2 victory's after that let you remember the next age's Strategic resources. so 3 Victory's= Classical Age, 5 = Medieval. And so on.

There was a thread about this but I can't find it.

Wealth Victory:  a camp in your town, in a town of your choosing, for each time you have completed wealth victory. Just as in Zod there are extra requirements each time you complete the victory, we could get a bonus camp. No culture points - just storage.

Thank you for moving my message to the right thread.

I had another thought - for Culture Victory you could get another statue, like the Gargoyle - no storage, no population, just a culture bonus.

I really liked the stuff I got for the victory,so first thanks for that.

Bad is that you loose it if you get a bad spot with your next hero (too close neighbours f.e.) and need to start over. (Same with the second wing package, btw)

No idea if that would be possible, but it would be great to have the chance to start over and take the rewards with you again.. I'm thinking of sort of time limit within you can decide if you want to settle and the chance to delete the hero instantly if you choose to start over. (24 hours maybe?)

This option could be limited too: One new try for the first victory, two for the second,..

I totally agree with Assassinetta comment - all the great bonuses for completing a victory but if the next place you are put is a bad one (on top of near an enemy who will tell you to move or risk being wiped out as soon as your novice truce ends) is not good - you end up losing most of the wonderful gifts that you have been given, so yes the chance of a 24 hr 'free to explore' time would be great :)  Please do consider this idea I think it would be really appreciated by many folk not just me & Assassinetta - thank you :)

I have suggested this many times, but will say again ... it would be great to be able to move a hero that has landed in a crowded spot.
