I assume you mean the ancient coins and not the coins of the magi:
you get the first by solving the puzzle on Dolphin Island;
the second is in the chest on Monkey Island that you open when you have collected nine chestnuts from the nasty thorn plants;
the third is by the Millenium Oak on Seagull Island (I think it's the chest that you open with 12 walnuts);
the fourth is in the chest you open with rusty keys on Skull Island (it's on an island between the two southern peninsulas; you have to build a tower at the wreckage to see it or be able to swim);
the fifth is in a chest on Witch Island, west of the singing stones;
the sixth is the chest on Frozen Vale that you open with the 30 white shells; and
the last is in the Rimy Islands (the second decorative chest you open with pine cones).
If you mean the coins of the Magi, you get both of those at Gazing Canyon.
