Dendrog Lair--behind the fog

I don't see that anyone else has posted about this yet... In the Dendrog Lair, I took my entire army behind the fog and circled the entire playable area.  I was able to explore most of the Lair without cutting down those big thorns.  Here's a screenshot. 

Check out the mini-map.

Confirmed. I can do the same from that entrance under the fog.

I walked all around that area under fog as well.

Probably, yes, I'm just sad that I still didn't get a tool for big thorns :D
