Feeding Zoo animals

I fed the penguin one fish and he took it, he wont take any more now. I was told they each had to have 3 food. 

I'm trying to feed the lion fresh meat and he's not taking it. I get that negative thump noice and a message that says' He wants more" 

I fed the alligator rotten meat, he took one and no more since then.

What is it with the lion? What am I supposed to be feeding him? is it 3 of each per animal or just 1?

Some animals need more than 1 to tame.

I don't think llanita is asking about taming animals... she's saying that the zoo animals in Karfaree (particularly the lion) won't accept the appropriate food from her, even though she's is trying to feed them the right things, and lion continues to "need more" but won't take it...

llanita - are you standing right next to the lion's cage when you try to feed it? I don't think it works if you just click the meat on the lion. I think your hero needs to be standing close enough.

Aluna thank you. Yes, I had my hero right up to the cage. I also kept clicking everywhere where the lion was with no results. I was beginning to doubt the fresh meat. The other two animals were succesful because I no longer get the message saying that the animals are silent.

I guess I keep clicking, and hope for the best.

but the lion does need more then one meat. Just like if you were taming him!

@Tuey - Ah! OK.., to be clear, then... are you saying that she has to offer *all* of the meat at the same time (so she can't bring him one piece of meat, then bring another and another etc until he is satisfied)? Does she need to have enough fresh meat in her inventory to satisfy him *before* she offers any to him? So the solution is to turn up with loads of meat in your inventory to be sure you have enough, and the lion won't accept any until you do have enough?

Unfortunately in the taming animals thread, there doesn't seem to be any reference to lions (unless I've somehow missed it), so that may not help... although I understand that you may be trying to avoid spoilers by not saying here exactly  how many pieces of meat the lion needs :)

the lion needs 5 and it must be all at once. Maybe since he is a cat could also give him valerian potion instead.

Thank you all. I will look for more fresh meat then, I only have 3. As for the Valerian Potion, I only found out yesterday that it can be made using a flower of a certain type and a jar. No idea what the flower looks like. I do have 3 jars though.
