fight with boss 1 inside comet

Hey can anyone help me? I have been playing the battle with boss 1 for the last hour and can't get anywhere with him. I watched the you tube video and find it hard to believe he finished the battle in less than 9 minutes, The tower at the entrance to the mysterious statue has been destroyed at least 20 times or more in the last hour. In the video it NEVER was destroyed not even once. Every time I go back to the village there is at least 5-8 buildings that need to be repaired, the video didn't have that problem, or at least that many at one time. I have hit that statue many, many times with the fireballs and thunder and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Please can someone tell me what I could possible be doing so wrong that it is taking me an hour and the statue is not even half way destroyed. Is there something else I can do to speed up the process? Is there some trick to ending this battle sooner? I am a getting discourage for the first time in the game. Thanks to anyone who can help!!

Trust me that was a live video without edit. What you see is the actual battle and I was repairing things at the same time. When I made the video that was the 4th time I had beaten the game. I use a ton of shaman to beat the bosses, plus since I had the Relic of Prosperity from Guardian Moon, I got +1 extra people per building. Also, I have never relied on the Temple powers because they don't recharge fast enough. In regards to the tower near the entrance not being destroyed, that was the first time it never got destroyed. In every game except the one I made the video with, it was toast.

Thank you for your answer. Did I make a mistake to do battle inside comet before finishing the Guardian Moon? Should I have done that first, and if so is it to late to go there and then come back to the comet to do the final battle? Thanks

Once you complete Inside The Comet, the game is over. If you have not completed Inside the Comet, when you start your game it will ask you if you want to go back into where you were and you say no. Understand, this means you have to start at the beginning of Inside the Comet, but the Relic of Prosperity gives you +1 person per building and the Marketplace gives another +1 per building. It makes a difference. FYI - the first time I played Inside The Comet, they kept destroying my tower near the intersection near the boss and I could have sworn it took me 2 hours to beat both bosses. As you play the game it gets easier.

I have nearly the last 2 hours hammering away at the stupid statue, but at least I don't have to direct the troops every time one dies..... :p
