On Frozen Vale Island, I'm missing one white shell, and it's driving me crazy! I have thoroughly explored the entire island at least 3 times, all to no avail.
Are there no maps/guids for Totem Tribe GOLD? The normal maps and videos for the original Totem Tribe didn't help me.
Or, is this a glitch or something that will need patched?

I had the same yesterday, so I did what I normally do in this situation and before I throw my laptop out the window ;), save the game, and do something else. Then when I go back to the game, I usually find it.
Also, because you are probably trying to search for the most difficult setting of the last item, you won't see it staring you in the face and it usually does that after you have been looking for it for a while. It is no longer hidden behind something, but sitting right in front of you.
I hope this helps you as it does me.
There are quite a few hidden in the settlement in the middle and in the trees to the south west.

i totally agree, i was looking for ages, and had to leave the game for a while; also the last shell should pulse a bit, my last one was in the mountains on the east. :)

I found the last 2, for me anyway, next to the tee-pees. Now like you said after you leave the game and come back, they seem to magically appear. I know that I had looked in that village.
