Frustrated

I am  the hidden cave and cannot find any of the stalagmites.  I thought the update would make it easier to find them, but I cannot.  This is getting real frustrating as I would like to explore the caves.

look at similar stalagmites with the missing piece, you may find something 

Also look Near and In the stalagmite with the cut end. I found two that way.

I want to thank the two that answered, I tried both suggestions and still cannot find any stalagmite in the Hidden cave.  Any other suggestions or tips?

Post some screenshots ;) I've managed to find all in my caves, so I can have a look. But you would have to make screen after screen...

I am also frustrated to the point of tears over stalagmites.. I have spent 9 days now looking for them and haven’t found one...I have clicked on stalagmite groups, and following the screen shot posted tried again, looking and clicking around the walls as well.
I am starting to think there aren’t any in my cave, or are in a hidden chamber I haven’t found yet.
Have you any tips to help me please?

I am totally frustrated as well but can't offer any suggestions.  I have tried everything that people have posted.  I have found a few, but no where near what is needed to solve the caves.  I have changed the settings of my monitor, blown up the screen, clicked everywhere randomly too out of frustration.  Nada.

I myself decided there are no stalagmites in my caves and I refuse to go back there again.

I was also frustrated over not finding the stalagmites. Since then, I decided to bypass them if I cannot find them. Instead, I concentrate on what I can do, and just complete the cave without them. In the majority of cases, I have completed the cave and found all the gems without needing to open broken stalagmites. I say "majority" because I will admit there are two caves I am missing a gem in.

Bers previously mentioned that the gems are not behind the stalagmites, so I will just keep looking elsewhere.

I am also stuck in secret cave with stalagmites, I have 3 passages needing a broken piece, i have only been able to find 1 piece that does not open any of the passages. I have clicked everything, moved every rock, told myself they're not there and haven't been back.

I know all these posts are a year old, but I just got my map to hidden cave. I've read all I can find and searched and clicked for days. Jackal seems to have this same grouping in her secret cave and has not been able to find them either. Can someone please check to see if they are missing, or have we both gone blind looking?

the screenshots you provided do not cover the whole area of your search. I had this same place in three of my caves and the tip needed  to proceed was there in all caves, if I remember correctly I found them in different spots. You need to find the one on the left, the right one will be later.
