Horrible framerate?

Hi guys. Recently, I've tried to play Totem Tribe Gold, thanks to a friend's recommendation. I downloaded the demo, but there seems to be a problem: the game gets VERY sluggish when in-game. I get 7-9 FPS, no more. Funy thing is that I get up to 120 FPS on the menu screen. This makes the game a chore to play; not only gives me a headache, but also makes the controls less precise (sometimes I have to click something two or tree times!). I'm able to play games like Fallout 3 at 50-60 FPS, so I see no reason why TTG should run so slow... Anybody may have a sollution for me? BTW, my PC specs are: Intel Core 2 duo 2.80 GHz 3 GB of RAM Ati Radeon HD 4650 with 1 GB Windows XP SP3 I tried to defrag my HD already, closed all programs running at the background, updated my DirectX and updated my video card driver. Nothing changes.

Something is definitely wrong, that should not be so bad on your configuration. Maybe I could find more, if you send me your log.html ( located in the saves folder ). gcherkaev@enkord.com

I can't find the log file. Where exactly is it generated? I can't find the save folder, and I've looked inside the DATA folder, but haven't seen the log file.

Sigh, can't find the log file. Anywho, I won't buy this game, unfortunatelly. Its almost unplayable as it is, and I suspect this game is incompatible with my ATI card (wich I love, so I won't replace it with another card...). Maybe Enkord is able to fix this game in the future... EDIT: Ok, its defnitelly an incompatibility with my ATI card... I tried using my friend's GeForce 8 on my computer, and the game played like a charm. Now I hope Enkord can find out where the problem is and fix it...

OK, I am not a computer person and don't know most of what you were listing or where to find out, but I do have the same problem from time to time. I haven't found a consistent set of parameters when this happens. I generally play with 1 or 2 IE windows and Outlook open, and I have a very small Outlook profile. I just know that sometimes it is so slow and I have to click so many times that I simply quit for awhile and come back another time and then there is no problem. I do have a sticker on my laptop that says I have a Nvidia card not ATI. I do know those are graphics cards. Yeah! As far as Guru or the Enkord folks getting back to you, do you think perhaps a lot of people have sent them log files and they may be comparing them to see what the problem is? I think offering to do that for free on their part is very cool. You can still play the game. You just have to have some patience. If it is too slow then go read a book and come back later. That's what I do. Good luck! Beth

Well see, the problem is that this doesn't happend "from time to time". It happens everytime I try to play the game. When the game starts, its slow! And I never have anything open on the background. Its not like you, where you "haven't found a consistent set of parameters when this happens". For me, it works very slow, no matter what I do. Only when I tried with a Nvidia card, the game became playable, but since I don't have a Nvidia card I won't be able to play it. Now, keep in mind that I NEVER complained about the lack of support. I just updaded my post with new information. The game is unplayable as it is, and I just wanted to let them know. The demo is timed, and the time is up in my demo version, so I won't be able to test anything else. "I think offering to do that for free on their part is very cool." Sure! But you KNOW that they ARE interested in selling their games, of course. Thats why the game isn't free (and it shouldn't be, BTW. I would gladly pay top dollar for a game of this calliber), and they just offer the demo version so that you TRY BEFORE YOU BUY. If it works for you, and you like it, you buy. I loved the game, but won't buy it YET since it doens't work well on my machine!

I don't think so. I don't believe Enkord have a huge team specifically crated to hunt and fix bugs. And this problem we are having affects only a handfull of people, not the majority....
