I just got the magnifying glass, how does it work? I have found 95% of the gems and am trying to find the last stragglers. Each time I click on the magnifying glass, nothing happens. Do I have to have a certain research done, or something on those islands for it to work? Appreciate any help.

If there are no gems available on your current view, then the magnifying glass will make a sound. You'll need to move to a different view and then click it again. When a gem is found, then it will have a "circle" around it.
