There was no ice in keepers.

Looks like someone was too busy with war achievements that forgot there was ice there in fact :)

LOL it has been awhile since I went there. Sorry, I guess I am the one that needs meds :)

I am confused...

How am I supposed to put a 3 digit number in the puzzle??

One digit at a time.  Hit the button after each one, then dial in the next one.  If you read through this thread it is all explained in earlier posts.  Good luck!

Am I supposed to move the circle around the red jewel in the middle? I have looked at other peoples post but I don't understand it.

Can anyone make a video walkthrough so we will need less information

All right. Let me bypass what confused me in the other posts. If I'm even less clear, my apologies.

1. Poke the jewel in the middle of the wheel--what has confusingly (to my mind) been called the "button"--until it stops glowing. (If you've just walked up to the puzzle, it's off already. But if you've been fiddling w/ it, this is how you set it back to Start.)

2. Count the number of plant clumps in the immediate vicinity of the puzzle, starting at the top and moving down and left, so white, then yellow, then red. Note that the number of white blooms is 3 times the number you want, since there are 3 blooms per white plant. For this example, suppose those counts are 4, 3, and 2.

3. Use one of your "=" clues from a message slab to guess how many digits difference there is between that 3-digit number and the required answer. Suppose one of them is "Some say 7 = 8". That means you add 1 to each plant-number, and the answer might be 543.

4. Click the circle until the button with the two arrows points at your first answer-digit. Poke the jewel. It will make a noise and glow. If it doesn't, poke the jewel harder.

5. Click the circle until your next digit is pointed at. Poke the jewel so it makes the noise again and glows differently. If it doesn't, poke the jewel harder. (This was where I went wrong at one point. Also, previous posts say it changes color; this has altered since.)

6. Click the circle until your next digit is up. Poke the jewel so it makes the noise again and turns off.

7. If the box has opened, stop. (It won't let you go on anyway.) If not, start over with step 3 and a different clue. Suppose it is "Others say that 9 = 6". That means you subtract 3 from each digit in the flower-answer and this time you'd try 109.

Note that If the difference is a negative number like that, if you're good at arithmetic you can add 10 to the number of flowers before subtracting--this is a modulo puzzle. If it's easier, instead think of it as going that many steps counterclockwise, aka backwards, on the circle. Or use the spreadsheet offered above--the second time, not the first. The answer will be the same no matter how you achieve it.

8. If that doesn't work, start over with the 3rd clue. If, like me, you've found only 2 clues, there are only 8 other possibilities and it may be faster and/or less frustrating to just work thru them rather than hunt another clue.

Note: I would never have gotten anywhere at all on this one w/o others' posts in this thread. I had no idea how to get the answer, nor any clue on how to enter it. I therefore urge that a spoiler be made available for the final game.

so frustrated with this puzzle.  I've only managed to solve it ONCE and the rest of the times I just left it alone.  However, new hero, so am trying again.

My numbers are 7 white, 6 yellow and 3 red.  Hints are 1=3, 4=3 and 4=5.  I've tried the following: 985, 652 and 874 and variety in between.  Help PLEASE :)

using your 1=3 clue I come up with 5 for the off position 4 for the yellow position and 1 for the red position so I do not think you did your other codes right.

thanks Tuey, I got those off of the Table that Lucille provided, I will relook at it and also try your numbers.  Thanks again.

The first table linked to in this thread is wrong, inadvertently sabotaged by a user. It looks like Lucille has been doing her best to get rid of it, but somehow it refuses to vanish.

Thank you for telling us how to do it! I have finally done it after 2 months! The frustrating bit is that I've spent 2 months to get 2 novice manuals and a trommel...

I believe that that--and the pleasure of a puzzle solved!--are the standard rewards. ;->

I was able to solve this puzzle in Alpha 4, but now I can't. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or if it is bugged. My flowers are 9 white, 6 yellow and 5 red. My clues are 6=4,5=2 and 3=2, therefor I came up with 743,632,and 076. I have tried all 6 combinations of each  without success. Did I missed something or is it a bug?

You have a mistake - instead of 076 try 854.
