Necropolis and Abandoned dungeon

I need some advise for necropolis. I can seem to go in the cave or find out what I need to do there. In abandoned dungeon where is the light for the beacon?

Necropolis has three caves, place your flag on the door step and the hero will enter it.Search forum for Beacon puzzle and there is some help there, you must find the movable objects to light the beacon.

Is not a puzzle, but a door. Think of what you might need to open it.

I'm having problems in Necropolis.  My hero and army came from Dwelling of Sativa.  Went into the eastern cavern, battled all the skeletons and won.

Went into the middle cavern and battled everyone and won.  Got the keys.  Didn't try the blocked entrance. Left.  Decided to reinforce my troops, so called more in from my Second City.

Tried to go into the third cavern to the west, but nobody will go in.  I dismissed the army and my hero went in by herself.  Took her out, recalled the army but nobody would go in. 

Closed the game and restarted the laptop to make sure everything was clear. 

Tried again, but now nobody at all will go in the western cavern OR the middle cavern.  They went into the eastern cavern fine.

Location of the Necropolis is (4977,1410).  Did I mess something up, could it be because I called troops from another city, or is it something else.  Help.

Update:  I decided to send my hero and army home.  Gathered all troops in one city and sent them all back.  I figured if they all came from the same city the reinforcement issue would be invalid.

They still won't go in the western or middle entrances.  They will go in the eastern cavern as they did before.

it has nothing to do with whether they came from different towns or not.The flag must be placed in the correct location of the cave entrance. There is a stone in the middle of each entrance doorstep, slightly larger then the rest. The flag must be placed there to get them to enter the cave.

Tuey is right, most probably you missed 'entrance zone'.

I wonder are these entrance zones too small? :)

I had problems there as well when the dens were introduced. I figured out later that if you place the flag slightly before the doorstep, rather than in the cave opening it works best. But I remeber being very frustraded the first few visits...

yes the western entrance is very particular in regards to flag placement.

Tuey was right.  I was placing my flag just a bit too far inside the doorway.  Each entrance is at a slightly different angle, so it's easy to get a little off.  I think everyone just needs to learn that each entry way is unique.  It reminds me of the cave entrance at the Opposition Hideout.  Had a hard time getting the flag just right to enter there too.
