Have played the game twice now and can not get onto the hidden island with the chest for the orange gem. The character goes in and out of the three caves/holes in the mountains and nothing happens. Tried everything but nothing works

There is a hidden tunnel in the North part of the screen. Behind a tree, hard to see, once there Ta Da!
