Stone Age town monster mobs

I don't know if it's the same, for newer players, but the monsters seem overly strong, for stone age heroes to fight.

Plus my latest town, has a scorpion maze.  I was going to keep this town, but that is going to really bug me.

I know enough, to stay away, from monsters this strong, but it might make a bad, early impression, on players new to the game.

Tip: When meeting new monsters, click on them, then the ?, to see monster stats.  Compare it to your own troops stats.  Most of those below, will slaughter your hero and all your troops.

Monsters, not all mobs are monster types, there are also undead (skeletons, zombies.....), constructs (birdhouses) and in some dens, human troops.

Second town, started out with 2 groups of 2 small birdhouses. One group blocks a corner path, containing a clover that's been there since day 2 of that town. Yesterday it was monster and chest shuffle again, some small royal worms moved in as well.

I'm halfway into classical age, how am I supposed to beat those?

With this exact army you can beat anything except dragons (which need at least a lot of riflemen) and stone monsters (unless you have a lot of army attack bonus), plus it has very low upkeep and cost: your hero, 4 sages with weapon level 3 to deal damage, 4 units with maximum health to take the damage from monsters (at some point you will need 4 knights but 4 horsemen work too for weaker monsters) and 2 witch doctors or similar units just to force 3 horses to be in first row. Take maximum intellect with your hero, because of how armor works it's better than charisma. Be careful once you can't retrain sages to not loose them, send them to locations or shelter when you are away so other players don't kill them.

City 2 had small, medium and large Birdhouses. and those are impossible to defeat when in stone age or even classical age.

City 3 had all 3 sized birdhouses and small en medium worms
