[Suggestion] Identifying members of other alliances on world map

I would like to be able to see where all members of an alliance (other than mine) are with just a relatively short glance at the world map.

Once you are at war with one alliance, it's easy to have an overview. If you are at war with several alliances, it already becomes pretty much impossible. But I would also like to be able to easily identify all alliance members of an alliance I am/we are not at war with visually.

Two possibilities:

A) Giving every alliance a different border color (reserving red for war status). Although I wonder whether that might look too ugly/funky on world map.

B) Some sort of button/option to only show a particular alliance (chosen from a list or something similar) in a particular color, maybe even with the rest greyed out for better focus.

Sorry if this has been suggested before, forum search didn't yield any results for me.

I think it would also be good for unaffiliated players to be able to see that there are alliances around them without having to click on each neighbor so why not let them see just the orange borders too?  That way they can see, yes there are alliances around them, and decide from there whether to approach any of them for regional membership.
