However, the perspective of new(ish) players doesn't seem to be wanted, so I'll happily refrain.

Getting BACK to the original intent of this post, i think another tip that may be helpful, especially in some of the larger puzzles, is that two pieces with the same pattern do not touch each other.

Amazing work. This explanation has gotten me pretty far into the puzzle. Without it I couldn't even finish the first one.

Val, I want to thank you so very very much for this tutorial. I finished the last phase of this puzzle today, and I could not have done it without this help. The last "light bulb" for me was the hints that the shapes did not have to be simple squares and that there could be single tiles. After that, this puzzle was FUN!

Thank you for posting this solution. I jagged solving the first level of the tiles and then could not get any further and was getting frustrated with myself for not understanding what to do. This post was really helpful and I got a little bit further in the game. Thanks again!
