Tips to Manage Time

I really want to play the game, but I don't have much time to sit down and play or check my device throughout the day.  And task completion, building, travelling from one location to another, fishing, excavation - they seem to be very time consuming.

Would you have any tips for a newbie to manage time better, or fast track the process? I know some in game objects are specifically designed for this, but I feel like I would be wasting them.

I played the game 3 years ago, but I stopped because of the time investment I will have to put in the game. I just want to get back to it.

Well, if I had to go all the day, the morning before I go, I would basically do what I do before I go to sleep: spend enough resources so I don't waste any until I'm back (or spend all resources if it's impossible, mainly in storage thus) and upgrade something that takes as long as possible, possibly using 1 paton hammer. But if you have a phone even not on windows, as long as you have internet access you may do some actions from time to time on the new browser version.
